How Is Production Line Efficiency Measured? A Technical Guide to OEE

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) shows how much the planned production time is assessed by producing accurate speed and quality products. Availability is the palpit of performance and quality factors. Gives a single score; the actual value is to make the loss of deceased.

OEE formula

OEE = Availability x Performance x Quality. Availability is the rate of the planned production time of the working time. The performance connects to the actual working time of the total moment generated by the ideal cycle time. Quality is the total product rate of good products. Definitions should be written and consistent in the facility.

Lost Categories

Breaks and long settings availability; small postures and slow cycle performance; reduces scrap and reprocessing quality. The General OEE score does not tell what slipper will be interfered. Causes of rinsing should be examined in my ideal cycle and good product definition lower fracture.

Most often measurement errors

Identifying the planned time different between shifts, taking the ideal cycle from unreachable theoretical value, saving micro postures and counting good product to reprocessing. It is also misleading to compare the OEE values of different products and machines without context. A narrow pilot or even manual verification should be done first.

action from OEE

The largest loss is selected in the equipment or line area, which constitutes part; root cause work and targeted improvement is done. Pre-reduction to change is measured with the same definition. For example nozzle blockage availability, unbalanced bonding speed performance, pop-up boxes can be seen together as quality loss.

Application control list

  • Identify the planned production time clearly.
  • Get the ideal cycle from real and accurate data.
  • Display micro posture and reprocessing.
  • Measure at the restricted point first.
  • Take the biggest slipper action instead of the score.

Conclusion

OEE is not a ranking score, but the lost finding frame. High or low score without consistent data and lower cause analysis does not lead alone.

Manstechnic approach

Manstechnic associates bonding and maintenance-borne losses with the availability-performance-quality sizes of OEE.
